Are Real-time Strategy, Single and Multiplayer video game developed by TimeGate Studios and published by Atari. The game is a based on the board game of the same title.
The game offers five superpowers of the WWII such as Germany, United State, Japan, Russia and Great Britain. Each nation of the game has its own nationality and units. At the beginning of the game, the player can choose his military and get into the game world. The main task of the player destroys the military forces, capture the certain cities and become the world power. The game offers two different gameplay modes such a Turn-based Strategy and Real-time Strategy. In real-time mode, the player can create different kinds of units around his area, train his military force and gather resources, etc.
The turn-based mode present in WWII mode and in this mode the player can get a battle against the opponent nations with the aim of destroying them all to win the game. Axis & Allies include core features such as different areas, military vehicles, powerful enemies, play against his friends and much more. The game offers quite addictive gameplay, well-written storyline, and excellent visual details.
I ended up ordering most of the pieces individually myself. Check your order when you receive it though. There’s been a few times when I got mine and a few pieces where missing, especially on the bigger orders.In regards to plans for an updated “lot” for the game, I’m not the right guy to ask. It would make things a bit easier though somewhat if they had one available. They have actual specific designs for alot of the different countries now, which effectively makes the old “lot” of painted pieces obsolete. Marines, a US supplement sets (try at least two), Japanese supplement, Russian early and late war, neutral sets in at least five colours, 20 each of naval base and air field markers, and at least 20 twelve sided dice in the colours you prefer (I went with red and white at first).Get SS, Guards, Commando, Airbourne, Fallschirm, Marines, SNLF etc markers.My understanding is that the just announced expansions are to add a new dimension to the game and bring forward battles on an operational level within the larger strategic context (I am super excited about this). This is the reason I haven’t bought a map because they are out of this supplement set on their website. Can you tell me what roundels I need? I would appreciate it. I want to get at least 3 of everything. That way I will have enough for any conflict on the game board.Personally it will all depend on what is in each set. I usually like to have at least ten of each unit sometimes twenty of each color.I don’t have an HBG Global map and use thier custom units for my own HRs and variants.That makes sense. For Island Warfare, I will probably by 3 sets of it because I think I know most of the pieces HBG is going to offer in it, since they have advertised it enough. @John:Now when the Romanian/Hungary Minors set comes out, I might not buy as much. I will wait and see what is in the set first and make my decision then.
Like you said, take one set at a time.I’ll probably buy them just to have them. They’re not a must have for me though, the current Axis minors sets are perfectly suitable to me right now. However I love HBG’s stuff and end up liking stuff I didn’t think I’d like as much.As of yet I want the UK and French sets that are in production really bad. A few ideas I used for this exact issue. I’ve changed a few things since with the chips colours. It was a bit overwhelming at first.Though over time I’ve started to buy or make some pieces to replace these chips from hbg.
Occasionally they are out of stock on some stuff. Some we used often and others we didn’t bother with.
Torpedo boat destroyers for example were not worth it for us we just switched to destroyers for these at setup. For now.HBG says you can play with global40 oob pieces. But a few items are nice to have extra.Found it way cheaper to buy some units from hbg. The pieces from Pacific or Europe 40. Some are sold in a complete bag for a nation uk and usa most likely in stock. And spray paint any extra colours you want. Dutch orange, yellow comunist china and spain to augment the special units in the same colours i bought.If money isn’t an issue I’d say call or email the folks at HBG and get everything you need there.
They know their stuff and can assist you with the pieces and options required. Have had lots of communication with them. Do you roll for them to damage factories? 1D6?It went well. They played a role by hitting a factory in europe and one actually on mainline Japan. The japanese player actually missed him slowly coming up from India by way of a sea route. Once they hit a location, they tend to die as the player has to address them but, the distraction is worth it.Changes i will be making will be that once they make a strike on a facility it will be only 1 point of damage regardless of how successful the role was.BillHmm, interesting interesting.I could see that being a problem. Did they roll a six sided dice for damage?
Did they roll high both times?I’ve set mine up to roll a D6 dice and rolling a 6 eliminates them without damage and a 1 let’s them make a move after sabotage.Thanks for sharing your results Bill. (there are still Republicans territory)Good question, and I think a better intepretation of the rule is that the Spanish Civil War ends at this point, there is no option to claim as the word may seems to indicate.Example: The Republican intentionally make suicide attack to lose all units before the German attack on Russia and theirs aligning of Nationalists and Republicans. So Spain become Nationalists and they will Align with Germany at theend of combat phase if the Axis have possession of either London or both Gibraltar and the Suez Canal. One strategy I have seen is the Germans stall the war out so that both sides Align and as soon s they do the Germans whack Gibraltar from Spain.
